16 US troops and officers killed in Afghanistan

 

According to the news agency Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban), 16 US officers and troops were killed in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, in Taliban’s infiltration attacks.

 

The statement of this group is as follows:

 

According to the reports received, two of the influential Mujahedin of the Islamic Emirate attacked the officers and American occupation forces and their mercenaries in the Mamand Valley in the city of Spin Ghar, Nangarhar province.

 

The attack was carried out at noon yesterday by two Mujahideen who were previously hired in the Haji Zahir Qadir militia.

 

As a result of this attack, 16 US officers and troops were killed and many others were seriously injured.

 

The attack came as US military officers met in Mamand with these commanders and after the attack both commanders were martyred by the enemy.

 

According to this news, after the attack, US helicopters arrived in the area and severely bombed the area, which resulted in at least 25 unarmed civilian deaths.
