Al-Awamiya and beyond: Is Bin Salman looking for internal achievement?

After months of the siege of the al-Musawwarah quarters in Awamiya, Saudi forces finally managed to enter the heritage district of the bodies of dozens of martyrs from the region who were turned over by the Saudi media machine to terrorists only because of their inability to destroy their centuries-old heritage and homes.

The Saudi justification initially (they say) the implementation of the project to develop and rehabilitate the historic walled neighborhood, and later become after the beginning of the siege to prosecute and eliminate terrorists who take from the region a fortress for them. The Saudi pretext may be changed because of the amount of shelling and destruction inflicted by security forces in the region and its outskirts.

An excuse is more dangerous than any mind would believe. A neighborhood of no more than 180 adjacent mud houses could have been vacated and stormed by security forces in a quiet way to arrest those they considered terrorists. But the story of the Al-Saud is different from reality. Security was the Saudi goal to destroy the walled neighborhood and subjugate Awamiyah and Qatif in general to the authority of the Wahhabi terrorism and therefore the reasons and backgrounds we will try to articulate.

At first, the pretext of terrorism, which the Al-Saud has spoken about, is completely worth repeating. It aims to show Saudi Arabia to the world public opinion in the position of the defender who suffers from this scourge. The current and historical reality confirms that Awamiyah and Qatif in general have never been the incubators of any terrorist. On the contrary, because of the predominantly Shiite character of the region, this region historically suffers from the harassment of the Wahhabi authorities, which feed the global terrorist ideology and expel all Islamic sects that do not accept their beliefs.

If we notice the historical suffering of the Qatif region from the harassment of the Wahhabi parties, we can conclude an important matter from the targeting of Awamiyah at this time. This targeting satisfies the extremist Wahhabis and heals their hatred and hatred. This helps Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman to appease these religious extremists, He (Bin Salman) talks about the steps of opening and reform within the country and this is offset by rejection by the religious establishment and its branches. Targeting Shiites may silence this institution and extinguish the flame of rejection in the face of Bin Salman temporarily.

The other important thing that could be included in Mohammed Bin Salman’s calculations at this particular time is the foreign accounts, specifically on the escalation line with Tehran and the aggression against Yemen. Where some analysts considered that what is going on in Awamiyah aims at Bin Salman to create a pressure arena that will be a bargaining chip in his hand with regard to the aggression on Yemen and the relationship with Shiite Iran.

It is good to point out that the Saudi media is trying to portray the people of Awamiyah and Qatif as enemies associated with external projects. This image helps bin Salman gain internal support from other popular factions (through sectarian mobilization) And affirms that its security operation in the Eastern Province has its certain external dimensions.

In contrast to this misrepresentation of the media of the House of Saud, there is an unprecedented media blackout on the region, and attempts to prevent the transfer of the true picture of reality. Where the Saudi media uses the emotional method to justify the destructive military military operation. The Saudi objective is to develop and achieve sustainable development of the region, but the population is attacking security elements to prevent the development of the region.

This statement confirms the lack of validity of the destruction caused by the image of some of the satellites, where the images show the magnitude of the massive and unimaginable destruction, the area was settled in the ground and the demolition of buildings of more than three centuries old.
Today, after the completion of the destruction of the walled neighborhood and the displacement of more than 20 thousand of the eligibility did not end the Saudi security campaign, and this confirms that the issue is not only development projects for the neighborhood walled, but a destructive scheme targeting the eastern region in general. A revenge scheme that began with the revolution and will continue to other neighborhoods. This time the Shuwaika neighborhood is relatively far from the walled neighborhood. Where he asked the residents of the neighborhood to evacuate their homes and property within three months, what is the story?
Why Shuwaikeh neighborhood? Question answered by the demonstrations of the people of Qatif. The neighborhood was preceded by large-scale peaceful demonstrations earlier against the policy of the Al-Saud, demonstrations that claimed the lives of martyrs from the neighborhood. These demonstrations were the largest after the demonstrations of Awamiyah, and therefore is the next step within the process of systematic revenge and destruction by the Al Saud.
Of course, the pretext lies in the request of development plans for the region, an excuse that is expected to be strengthened in the near future under the pretext of another, namely the presence of terrorist elements inside the neighborhood to begin the destructive security operation amid the silence of the world.
