800 days of aggression on Yemen…33,395 of martyr and wounded

An independent civilian statistic revealed that the number of civilian casualties caused by the Saudi-American aggression on Yemen during the 800 days of the aggression reached 33,395 of a martyr and a wounded.

The statistics published by the Legal Center for Rights and Development on Monday evening said the number of martyrs of children reached 2,689 children, 1,942 women, and the number of martyrs of men 7,943 men, all of them civilians.

The number of documented injuries was 20,820, including 2,541 children, 2,115 women and 16,164 men, while the number of displaced was more than two million and five hundred thousand.

In the documented details of the Center of education and information, the number of schools and educational institutes affected was 775 schools and institutes, 114 university facilities and 26 media establishments.

The Center reported that the number of destroyed houses and damaged by the aggression reached 404,485, and the aggression destroyed 746 mosques.

On the part of the infrastructure and government and service facilities affected the Legal Center confirmed that the aggression targeted 162 stations and generators, 368 reservoirs and water networks, 353 networks and communication stations, 294 hospitals and health facilities, 103 sports facilities and 1,633 government facilities.

In the archaeological and tourist establishments, the number of tourist establishments targeted by the aggression was 230 tourist establishments and 207 archaeological landmarks.

On the transport side, the statistics indicated that 2,762 transport vehicles, 528 food tankers, 242 fuel tankers, 15 airports, 14 ports and 1,733 roads and bridges were targeted.

In the Commercial and Agricultural Establishments category, the number of targeted commercial establishments amounted to 5,769 establishments, 1,784 agricultural fields, 552 commercial markets, 289 factories, 318 gas stations, 676 food stores and 221 poultry and livestock farms.

For its part, the Ministry of Health announced that 10,000 Yemenis died as a result of preventing them from traveling abroad for treatment due to the suffocating siege imposed by the forces of the Saudi-American aggression on Yemen.

“We have witnessed the deaths of nearly 10,000 cases of illness as a result of continued aggression, siege and continued hostile restrictions on Sanaa International Airport,” said Dr. Abdel Hakim Al Kahlani, spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi-American alliance began on 26 March 2015 with a military aggression against Yemen. The suffering of the Yemenis has increased the economic blockade, the closure of Yemeni ports and airports, and the bombing of industrial, commercial and agricultural establishments, which has caused millions of Yemenis to suffer from deteriorating economic, living and health conditions.
